Hello

I am Amie, an IMSc Veterinary Physiotherapist, Canine Hydrotherapist and Higher Education Lecturer in Equine Science. I hold a deep-rooted passion for animal wellbeing and learning. Originally from Cornwall, I moved to Derbyshire in 2025 and am grateful to already have a wonderful bunch of clients who support my small business.

My Story

Having started in The South West, growing up I was lucky to be surrounded by a beautiful countryside and an endless supply of animals to love and adore. I knew I wanted to pursue my career in animals early in life, and luckily I stumbled across the path I am on today. I now live in Derbyshire and am looking forward to creating a business that is run with care and kindness.

My career combines hands-on clinical practice with academic teaching, allowing me to support both animals in recovery and students preparing to enter the veterinary and equine industries.

With a strong foundation in science and rehabilitation from my own learning and experience, I specialise in delivering evidence-based physiotherapy for horses and companion animals, focusing on injury recovery, performance optimisation, and long-term mobility management. Alongside my clinical work, I’m proud to teach and mentor students in higher education, helping shape the next generation of animal care professionals.

Using my teaching experience and from life as a student who hated exams, I noticed something missing from everyones toolbox, which is how the "Perfect Practice Packs" were created - aimed to help all individuals practically learn, either as a hobby or if you are studying towards your degree, these packs are essential as a learning guide and can be altered to suit individual needs and preferences.

I also offer educational demonstrations and outreach events, sharing practical knowledge with Pony Clubs, schools, and community groups to promote awareness of veterinary physiotherapy and animal health.

Whether I’m treating a horse post-surgery, guiding a student through biomechanics, or presenting at a local event, my goal is always the same: to improve lives through movement, knowledge, and care.
